Terms of Service

Rules and guidelines for using Interviewly

Introduction

Welcome to Interviewly. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Interviewly Chrome extension and associated services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing, accessing, or using Interviewly, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Interviewly, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept and agree to comply with these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Important: Your continued use of Interviewly after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

2. Description of the Service

Interviewly is a Chrome browser extension designed to help job seekers automate and streamline the process of applying for jobs on supported platforms. The Service allows users to:

  • Automatically fill out job application forms on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Welcome to the Jungle, Monster, and other supported platforms
  • Store personal profile information locally in the browser for form auto-fill
  • Track application history and view statistics through a dashboard
  • Manage job search preferences such as blacklisted keywords and salary expectations

Interviewly is intended as a productivity tool to assist with your job search. It is not a recruitment service, employment agency, or job placement provider.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

Account Creation

Certain features of Interviewly may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when setting up your profile and using the Service. Interviewly submits applications on your behalf using the data you provide. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all information submitted through the extension.

Account Security

You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Interviewly responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

You must NOT:

  • Use the Service to send mass spam applications or apply to jobs indiscriminately without genuine interest
  • Abuse the extension to overwhelm or disrupt job platforms, their servers, or their services
  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in job applications
  • Use the Service to harass employers, recruiters, or other users of job platforms
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension's code for malicious purposes
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to Interviewly without our written consent
  • Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law

Respect Third-Party Platforms: Interviewly interacts with third-party job platforms. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of service of each platform you use. Using automation tools may be restricted by certain platforms. We recommend using Interviewly moderately and responsibly.

We recommend:

  • Applying to jobs that genuinely match your skills and interests
  • Reviewing job descriptions before allowing the extension to submit an application
  • Using reasonable daily application limits to avoid triggering platform restrictions
  • Keeping your profile information up to date for accurate applications

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, design, code, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property associated with Interviewly are owned by Interviewly and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose (personal job application assistance). This license does not grant you any right to:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service
  • Use Interviewly branding, logos, or trademarks without written permission
  • Distribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Service

Any content you provide (profile data, resume, etc.) remains your property. By using the Service, you grant us permission to use that content solely to provide and improve the Service.

6. Billing, Subscription & Refunds

Paid Plans

Interviewly offers paid subscription plans (monthly and annual). By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your selected payment method the applicable fee on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Immediate Access & Waiver of Right of Withdrawal (EU / EEA / UK)

You expressly acknowledge and agree that Interviewly is a digital service supplied and made available immediately upon payment. By completing your purchase, you:

  • Request and consent to the immediate performance of the Service before the end of any statutory withdrawal period; and
  • Expressly waive your 14-day right of withdrawal under Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, and the equivalent UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Once the Service has been accessed, or once any paid feature has been used (including but not limited to AI-generated CVs, cover letters, ATS reports, tailored applications, or job-apply credits), the right of withdrawal no longer applies and the purchase becomes final.

No-Refund Policy

All payments are final and non-refundable, except where expressly required by applicable law. In particular, no refund will be issued for:

  • Partial use of a subscription period;
  • Cancellation before the end of a billing period (you retain access until the end of the paid period; no pro-rata refund is issued);
  • Change of mind, reduced need, or successful completion of your job search;
  • Failure to use the Service or features included in your plan;
  • Account suspension or termination due to a breach of these Terms.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date and will not be charged again.

Exceptional Refunds

We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund in the following limited cases only:

  • A verified technical defect attributable to Interviewly that prevented you from accessing core paid features for a significant portion of the billing period, and that we were unable to resolve after being notified in writing;
  • A duplicate charge or billing error attributable to us or our payment processor;
  • A fraudulent charge made to your payment method without your authorization.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing via our contact page within 14 days of the charge, with a clear description of the issue. We reserve the right to verify each claim and to decline requests that do not meet these conditions.

Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us to resolve the issue constitutes a breach of these Terms. It may result in immediate account termination and loss of all associated data. Most issues are resolved within 48 hours — please contact us first.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will apply to the next billing period following a notice of at least 30 days to active subscribers. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Taxes

Prices displayed may be exclusive of applicable VAT or other taxes, which will be added at checkout where required by law. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your local jurisdiction.

7. Limitation of Liability

Interviewly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all job platforms at all times
  • We are not responsible for any actions taken by third-party job platforms (such as account restrictions) as a result of your use of Interviewly
  • We are not liable for any incorrect, incomplete, or failed job applications submitted through the Service
  • We are not responsible for hiring decisions, interview outcomes, or employment results

Disclaimer: In no event shall Interviewly, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, loss of data, or loss of profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it and uninstall the extension.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Interviewly at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Abusive or fraudulent use of the Service
  • Conduct that may harm other users, job platforms, or Interviewly

You may terminate your use of Interviewly at any time by uninstalling the Chrome extension and deleting your account. Upon termination, all locally stored data will be removed when you uninstall the extension.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
  • For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users
  • Continued use of Interviewly after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms
